Why Atlas

Independent practice. Unhurried medicine.

Atlas Urology is physician-owned, which means our schedule is set by what patients need — not by a corporate quota. Appointments are long enough to explain the diagnosis, walk through the options, and let you decide.

Our mission is simple: care delivered with precision, compassion and respect. You will get a direct answer about what is wrong, what your choices are, and what each one actually costs.

Common Questions

Before your first visit

Do I need a referral to see a urologist?

Most patients can schedule directly with us. Some insurance plans — particularly HMO plans — require a referral from your primary care provider. Call (941) 324-2550 and we will confirm what your plan requires before your visit.

What should I bring to my appointment?

A photo ID, your insurance card, a current list of medications and doses, and any relevant imaging, lab work or operative reports from previous providers. If you were referred, ask that office to fax records to (941) 251-3422 ahead of time.

How soon can I be seen?

We hold time on the schedule for urgent urologic problems such as stone pain, gross hematuria and urinary retention, and can often see new patients within the same week. Call us to check current availability.

Do you accept my insurance?

We accept most major insurance plans, including Medicare. Because plan networks change, please call our office with your plan name and member ID and we will verify your coverage and estimated out-of-pocket cost before you come in.

Can I pay my bill online?

Yes. Use the secure online payment link to pay by card at any time, or call the office during business hours to pay by phone.

Ready to get answers?

Call our Bradenton office and speak with a real person, or send us a message and we will get back to you the next business day.
